Smaller pieces of work are undertaken on a "time and materials" by the hour. Estimates can be given before work begins. Larger pieces of work can be undertaken on a fixed price basis. Written quotations can be provided. The exact rate charged is dependent upon the exact nature of the work and the urgency required.

We employ a number of working methods: on-site visit, off-site work and remote access. The aim is to work as efficiently as possible. Many activities involve long waiting times, for example waiting for downloads or scans to complete. Where possible we will attempt to undertake such work offsite or remotely so that the customer is only charged for the effort rather than the elapsed time caused by such delays.

Materials and Parts

When new parts and materials are required we will usually instruct the customer what to order and they will pay the supplier directly. We can order parts for the customer and initially pay for the for the order. In these circumstances we reserve the right to apply an additional handling fee.

Where customers have existing arrangements with suppliers we are happy to work with these arrangements as required. Where possible items will be selected to fit in with existing systems and procedures.

Where a significant amount of time and effort is spent selecting and ordering items  the time involved will be chargeable as usual.
